The Rev. Kimberly Knowle-Zeller, Pastor
"Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage."
-Psalm 84:5
Pastor Kim likes to walk. Pastor Kim likes to explore. Pastor Kim likes to ask questions and hear and share stories. She likes to think of herself as a pilgrim. Being a pilgrim, for Pastor Kim, means opening oneself to the twists and turns and unexpected blessings and challenges of life. A pilgrim is one who sees life with a deep awareness and appreciation for the people, places, and experiences that are in the present moment.
Kim's journeys began in a small Ohio congregation where the care and nurture of the congregation opened her to the possibility of ordained ministry. Campus ministry at Wittenberg University further strengthened her call through discussions, questions, service, prayer, play, and fun. As a Peace Corps volunteer in The Gambia, West Africa, she witnessed and experienced hospitality that has no bounds. Walking the ancient pilgrimage route of the Camino de Santiago in Spain, she came to more intimately realize the presence of the living One who moves and walks with us.
Kim is an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She was called to Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church in 2011 following graduation from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio.
Kim is the youngest of three children. Her parents live in Ohio, the daughter of a retired engineer and a special education teacher. One brother lives in New Jersey and the other in South Korea. Kim is married to Stephen Zeller, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cole Camp, MO. The two reside in Cole Camp. In her spare time, Kim enjoys serving on the Sedalia Area Farmer's Market Board. Kim is married to Stephen Zeller, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cole Camp, MO. The two have a daughter, Charlotte Catherine, born November 24, 2014.
Pastor Kim is excited to be walking and journeying with the community of Christ and Trinity. Together, she looks forward to sharing in the gift and mystery of the Risen Christ who meets us in the twists, turns, and unexpected blessings of life and walks with us all
Blessed Journeying.
